kids
More than 20 million kids, from pre-k to third grade, have heard the following from a giant eagle that visited their classroom:
"If you find a gun: Stop! Don’t touch. Leave the area. Tell an adult."
I’m talking about “The Eddie Eagle Gunsafe Program” formed by the NRA in 1988. Accident prevention for kids; that’s what it’s all about. It helps parents too. Even though the NRA started it, guns are not on the agenda. So, pro-gun or not, check out this program...for your kid’s sake!

In 1999, The National Shooting Sports Foundation created the Project HomeSafe Program to educate gun owners about their responsibilities to safely handle and store firearms in their homes. Project ChildSafe was developed as a part of this program. It distributes free safety kits, which include a gun locking device, instructions to install it, and a safety booklet. This program is geared to adults. Although the primary purpose is to protect children, everyone benefits.
You can only get a Project ChildSafe kit from participating law enforcement partners in your state
Visit Project ChildSafe to find a participant in your area.
Be Safe is a gun safety program intended for kids in grades 1 - 3..
It is a story about how one hypothetical Utah family deals with gun safety issues in their home. This program is commonly used in schools, but can be used in other settings as well.
The story is read to kids, and then the kids are given printed copies of the story to take home . Parents are to read it again to them and to siblings before bed that day. This repetition at home tends to help generate family dialog about kids and gun safety.
This program does not support or oppose the ownership of firearms. It is intended to promote gun safety in Utah households. (Provided by the Utah Shooting Sports Council.)
The story for this program can be found at:

patriotic card
Arts and crafts on a pistol website might seem like a contradiction, however, just because I can protect myself (with great accuracy) doesnt mean that I cant do things a lady might do. One of my favorite pastimes is card making. I make cards for every holiday and every occasion. At first, I thought making my own cards would be a way to save money, but, as it turns out, it costs me more to make them than to buy them! I dont mind the cost because I have fun doing it and my friends and family appreciate getting a homemade card.. Below is a card that I made in honor of the femme .45 launch

Black stamp pad
Scissors and paper crimper
Glue stick
Colored pencils
2 star brads (fasteners)
